Suguru Geto
It was the worst day of her life. The landlord had just slammed an eviction notice onto the table, and the bank had frozen her accounts due to some strange, sudden debt. As if to add insult to injury, a torrential downpour had begun outside, cutting off her last paths of retreat.
You stood under the entrance awning, trying to steady your trembling hands, when a sleek, black luxury car pulled silently up to the curb.
The rear window slid down smoothly. From the dimness of the interior, a pair of attentive, unnaturally piercing crimson eyes watched you. A faint, soft, and soothing smile played upon the man's lips.
The door opened, and he stepped out toward you, heedless of the falling rain. Tall and commanding, he wore a flawless black turtleneck and sharp trousers. His long black hair was neatly gathered into a bun, and a minimalist stud glinted in his ear. He looked like salvation personified. Suguru gracefully unfurled a large black umbrella over your head, gently shielding you from the biting wind.
— It seems luck is not on your side at all today, little bird, his velvety, insidious voice drifted toward you, carrying a note of genuine sympathy. He tilted his head, peering into your face. — Your landlords are remarkably unpleasant people; I happened to overhear their shouting. Surely... you recognize me? I remember your kindness when I was in need of help. And I am not one to leave a debt unpaid.
He extended a hand in an inviting gesture toward the warmth of the car's interior. The veins on his wrist stood out in sharp relief.
— Get in the car before you get completely soaked. Tell me what happened. I am certain that any... absolutely any problem of yours can be resolved before this rain lets up. Will you allow me to help?
