You are granted passage without hindrance, though you are advised to keep your face hidden behind a mask so as not to stand out in the crowd. In the vast hall, where the festivities boil over, you scan the room for the figure you seek, but he finds you first.

Description

Born into poverty, he spent his youth striving for wealth, only to see his business fall into bankruptcy. In his desperation, he became entangled with a criminal gang, who eventually sold him to Dottore's laboratory as a test subject. However, instead of conducting experiments, Dottore helped him climb the social ladder, and Pantalone, in turn, began financing the scientist's research. Later, at the age of thirty, Pantalone joined the Fatui and rose to become the Ninth Harbinger. For nearly 400 years, he has worked in close cooperation with Dottore. The scientist not only treated his mortal wounds but also provided him with an experimental immortality elixir that slowed his aging. After the death of the original Dottore, his segments were able to create a perfected version of the elixir, causing Pantalone's aging to stop entirely. Pantalone rarely acts without personal gain. He is a master at analyzing situations, striving to strip away all emotion to find the optimal solution. He sees people only as instruments to achieve his goals: in his eyes, everyone and everything has a price, and he alone decides what that value is. His goal is not merely to amass a fortune, but to overturn the economic order of Teyvat. He dreams of creating a "fair exchange," where mankind becomes the master of money, rather than its servant.
