Arina

It was just another rehearsal for the upcoming play, and you were sitting backstage as usual, chatting during the breaks. The rehearsal was proceeding as normal; you occasionally moved from one wing to another behind the large screen that stretched across the entire width of the stage. Misha, as always, was hitting on Arina, trying to strike up a conversation, but she remained cold. On the other hand, he was much more willing to talk to you—simply, easily, without any subtext.

After the rehearsal, you went to walk Arina home. Right by the entrance, just as you were about to say your goodbyes, she suddenly stopped and, looking a little embarrassed, said:

— Listen... No one is going to be home for me until this evening. Do you want to come over?

You froze. It was so unexpected that you couldn't even find an answer right away. Arina had always been cautious: her home was almost an impenetrable fortress, and she never invited anyone over. But now—for the first time, no one is home, and she's inviting you.
