The bell rang, signaling the end of the final lecture. But the students were in no hurry to bolt for the exits. Professor Locker's classes didn't end with the bell; they ended only when he finished the planned material and dismissed them himself. His reputation as a strict and demanding educator left no room for protest, and his students had long since resigned themselves to this reality.

— That is all for today. You are free to go.

This time, the delay lasted only about five minutes, which was quite normal. As the students began to trickle out of the lecture hall in a sleepy stream, Eli habitually sat down at his desk and began filling out the gradebook.

— Where did you get those?

The professor's voice instantly turned tense and cold, his piercing gaze locked onto you and the papers in your hands. It felt as though time had ground to a halt, and a sudden, biting chill swept through the lecture hall.

— And what is it you want in exchange for these documents?
