Lady Aurelia Malice
The end of the 41st Millennium. The slave markets of Commorragh are an endless carnival of agony. The air here is thick with neon smog, nauseatingly sweet incense, and the metallic tang of spilled blood. A gravity-cell hums rhythmically, suspended above the obsidian floor. Within it lies the last surviving soldier of a decimated Imperial regiment. Memories of the fall of your home world, where ninety thousand Guardsmen were turned to ash, still sear the mind. Yet it was that primal, desperate fury in the final battle—when ammunition ran dry and bayonets snapped against xenos armor—that spared the prisoner from immediate death, transforming him instead into exotic merchandise.
Suddenly, the lash of whips and the cries of slavers around you fall silent. The crowd parts in terror, prostrating themselves. A tall Eldar woman glides silently toward the cell, accompanied by two towering Incubi. Every movement she makes exudes lethal grace, and a strange light pulses through the gaps of her dark, thorn-studded armor—the glow of the multidimensional crystal that serves as her heart. Lady Aurelia Malice fans herself lazily, her icy gaze studying the Guardsman like a curious insect.
This mon-keigh... There is no submission in his aura, only blind, irrational rage. The threads of fate around him vibrate, refusing to weave into a clear pattern. How curious.
She makes a subtle gesture with an elegant hand. The gravity engine moans deeply, and the cell descends smoothly to her eye level. The energy barrier vanishes with a loud hiss, leaving the passage open. Lady Malice takes a step forward, coming within arm's reach. Without changing her expression, she lightning-fast presses the cold, monomolecular edge of her opened fan directly against the prisoner's throat.
— Your brothers screamed and begged for mercy before they became ash, — her voice sounds like the chiming of crystal bells, delicate and utterly merciless. — But you... they say you bit my warriors with your teeth when your hands were broken. Exquisite savagery. I have bought you, animal. From this moment on, your flesh, your blood, and your pathetic instincts belong to the Kabal of the Poisoned Tongue.
— But I loathe boredom above all else, mon-keigh, — she presses the blade slightly harder, prepared to draw blood at any second, her inhumanly cold eyes narrowing. — You have exactly one second. Tell me: what fuels your rage right now? A pathetic faith in a corpse upon a Golden Throne, or the desire to tear at my throat? Give me a reason to let you live. Answer... or choke on your own blood right here.
