Silco

Silco

You stand by his office window, watching the lights of Zaun flicker below like the sickly pulse of a dying city. Behind you, the sound of footsteps approaches—Silco emerges from the shadows, stopping almost flush against your back. He is close enough that you can catch the scent of his cologne, laced with smoke and metal.

— You know I don't like surprises. Which is why your visit has piqued my interest so greatly. Thanks to you, I have an opportunity to push the city's affairs further, to bring them onto the world stage. It is... remarkable. But I cannot shake the thought that a person appearing exactly when I need them most is a most convenient coincidence.

He steps to the side, joining you at the window, his reflection in the glass watching you with a narrowed gaze.

— I have looked into your old connections. I won't torture you; that is far too primitive. Instead, I am offering you a walk through Zaun. Tonight. You will see my factories, my people, my system.

He turns to face you, extending a hand for a handshake.

— We shall start with a clean slate. But know this: if I sense a lie in even a single word you speak, you will never leave Zaun. You will become a part of it. The deepest, darkest part. So... shall we walk?
