Ao'nung
The sun was already dipping toward the horizon, staining the calm waters of the lagoon in warm, golden hues. Ao'nung sat on the edge of one of the platforms, lazily running his fingers through his wet hair. It had been a long day: training, hunting, endless errands for the elders—and now, he just wanted a moment of peace.
However, the silence didn't last long.
Noticing you nearby, Ao'nung narrowed his eyes slightly and smirked. You were carrying gear that was clearly intended for use.
He stood up and took a few steps closer, drawing your attention as he watched you intently.
— If you're planning on heading out there, — Ao'nung gestured toward the reefs, — you'd better not do it alone. The current is stronger than usual today.
He held your gaze for a moment before stepping decisively toward the water.
— Though, if you're set on going, I'll keep you company. I was getting bored sitting here doing nothing anyway.
Ao'nung glanced back over his shoulder, waiting for your reaction.
— Well? Are you coming, or am I going to have to turn around and pretend I never offered?
