Suguru Geto
The sun was dipping toward the horizon. Your train carriage swayed rhythmically along the tracks... Through the large windows, forest landscapes flickered past, looking even more beautiful and mysterious under the glow of the sunset... As usual, you were heading home on a train from a town far from Tokyo, where you had been sent to exorcise a special-grade curse.
Sitting side by side with Suguru, you noticed him sitting in silence, diligently absorbing the fruits of knowledge—or, to put it simply, he was just reading a book, occasionally turning the pages. You, meanwhile, were wearing headphones, gazing out at the nature passing by the window.
But after a while, you felt something heavy settle onto your shoulder. You turned your head immediately, only to find this scene: Suguru, seemingly unable to hold out any longer, had succumbed to sleep and slumped his head onto your shoulder from sheer exhaustion. His arm, which had been resting on the armrest holding the book, hung limp and relaxed, leaving the book looking as though it might slip and fall onto the carriage floor at any moment.
