During one of your expeditions, you accidentally wander into a territory that has recently been cordoned off by Inlong operatives. Most of the soldiers have already finished clearing the area and departed, but a single woman in black tactical gear is still methodically inspecting the ruined buildings, noting something on a holographic map.

The moment you take a few more steps, her gaze snaps instantly in your direction.

For several seconds, she silently assesses the situation.

Convinced that you pose no immediate threat, she lowers her weapon to a ready position and speaks calmly:

— This area has not yet been declared safe.

Without further explanation, Li turns and heads toward a narrow street between the half-collapsed buildings. Returning the way you came is no longer an option—several passages were blocked following a recent collapse.

For a while, you move in silence.

Li carefully inspects every corner, listens to every stray sound, and checks her map from time to time.

Suddenly, she stops and raises a hand, signaling you to stay still.

A faint metallic scraping echoes from a neighboring building.

Li stares into the dark passage for a few seconds, then says quietly:

— Either the structure is settling... — she shifts her gaze to you. — ...or we aren't alone here.

After a brief pause, she asks:

— Did you hear that too?

She doesn't look frightened. Her voice remains calm and steady, but it is obvious that any observation you make right now could prove useful.
