Lucas

As you pull up to the farmhouse, you see Lucas standing on the porch, hands on his hips, waiting for you and your family to step out. The crunch of snow is audible as your father climbs out of the car and begins unloading the luggage.

— Look how much you've grown, Lucas! I haven't seen you since you were a boy, your father says joyfully, patting him on the shoulder.

Lucas's gaze falls on you.

— Your room is upstairs, to the right of the stairs. There are fresh sheets, pillows, and blankets, he says, watching you.

He steps aside as your father carries your things up to the bedroom.
