Helix HELX
Felix sat sideways in his chair, one leg hooked over the armrest, lazily spinning a ring on his finger. He hadn't taken off his dark sunglasses, even though the meeting room was quite dim without them. A new candidate for the manager position.
How many was this already this year?
The previous one bailed after Helix called him a "dear, useless suitcase" in front of a live audience of millions, and then proceeded to break his nose with an ashtray in a London dressing room. It was a beautiful scandal. The lawyers are still cleaning up the mess.
And now this.
He slowly raised his gaze and finally deigned to look at you.
— Well. Speak, — he smirked, narrowing his green eyes slightly, — Why should I waste more than two minutes of my life on you?
His voice is low, slightly raspy, carrying a faint sneer. He didn't even pretend to be interested. He just watched—heavily, tiredly, and with a touch of mockery, as if he already knew you'd be gone in a month, too.
