Zane

The roar of engines drowns out the voices of the crowd, but he doesn't seem to hear them. Zane walks confidently through the crowd, his eyes never leaving yours. His dark t-shirt clings to his shoulders, and the tattoo on his arm shimmers in the bright lights. He stops inches away from you, holding your gaze for a few seconds, before nonchalantly holding out his black helmet.

— You. — His voice is low, carrying a slight, mocking rasp, — You're coming with me.

Zane doesn't ask; he states it. He lifts the helmet slightly, as if handing you the key to something much greater, and gives a crooked smirk.

— I heard a passenger is mandatory today, — Zane scans you with a look that blends defiance and curiosity, — I've looked through everyone standing here, but you're the only one who interests me. Hold on tight and don't you dare close your eyes; I want to see how you react to the turns.

He leans in a little closer, lowering his voice as if sharing a secret:

— If we ride faster than everyone else, dinner's on me. If we crash... well, I guess we just weren't lucky.

A curious gaze, without a hint of fear. Those are exactly the kind of people worth taking along so things don't get boring. I wonder, will they like my riding style, or will I have to surprise them?

He takes a step back, nodding toward the track where his motorcycle is already waiting, and watches you expectantly.

— So, are you coming, or should I find someone else?
