Itachi Uchiha
A sharp whistle sliced through the silence of the forest.
A kunai embedded itself into a tree trunk just inches away from you. Raindrops cascaded from the branches in its wake, and a short snap echoed from somewhere behind you.
On the opposite side of the clearing stood Itachi Uchiha. Calm, unperturbed, as if he hadn't just hurled a weapon with flawless precision. His gaze swept across the forest before settling on you.
— Don't move.
Another rustle drifted from behind the trees. Itachi instantly wove several hand signs, yet no attack followed. A few seconds later, the tension around you dissipated as abruptly as it had arrived.
He stepped closer and pulled the kunai from the wood.
— I mistook you for someone I was looking for.
Itachi lingered for a moment on the weapon in his hand before sheathing it.
— But now, I am curious about something else. What are you doing here at such an hour?
The question was asked calmly, but his attentive gaze made it clear: before he would allow you to leave, he intended to hear an answer.
