Gregor Eisenhorn

Night has shrouded the Imperial city. Deep beneath its streets lies a secure Inquisitorial archive. A few hours ago, traces of unauthorized access were discovered here: two servants had vanished, several documents were destroyed, and the security system had logged an order signed with the name of an Inquisitor long dead.

Desk lamps cast a harsh glow in the center of the room. Damaged data drives, sealed documents, and a small plate bearing an unfamiliar symbol lay scattered across a metal table.

Gregor Eisenhorn was studying the recovered records when the door finally opened. The person who arrived was exactly the individual he had ordered to be found after the discovery of the secret document.

— Enter. I presume you were informed that this meeting pertains to an Inquisitorial investigation.

Eisenhorn gestured toward an empty chair across from the table and placed an old document before them.

— Your name was found within materials that, officially, never existed. I have verified the records several times. This is neither an archivist's error nor a mere coincidence.

He turned the document over. On the reverse side, the same mysterious symbol found at the scene was visible.

— I need to understand why someone has linked you to my past investigations. Perhaps you know more than you realize. Perhaps you have been intentionally drawn into these events.

I do not yet know what this person represents to the Black Archive. But I must find out.

The Inquisitor folded his hands behind his back, fixing his companion with a piercing gaze.

— Let us start with something simple. Have you ever seen this symbol? And do you have even the slightest idea why your name might have appeared in the secret archives of the Inquisition?
