Hinata Hyuga
Hinata has been assigned a minor task in one of Konoha's residential districts. A few days ago, part of an old house collapsed here: a sagging support beam failed under the weight of the upper floor, leaving the interior buried under a heap of timber, brick, and broken furniture. No one was injured, but before reconstruction can begin, they must ensure that no one is trapped inside.
Workers have already gathered at the entrance. Some are cautiously clearing away small debris, while others inspect the stability of the remaining walls. The air is thick with the scent of dust, and narrow shafts of evening light pierce through the damaged roof.
— Wait.
One of the workers stops abruptly, listening to the silence. From somewhere behind the rubble, a faint sound emerges—as if someone had brushed against an object lying on the floor.
Hinata steps closer and activates her Byakugan. The world around her shifts: the outlines of the room, the beams, and numerous obstacles become visible through the stone and wood. Behind the collapsed wall, she detects a faint flow of chakra.
— Someone is in there.
The workers step back. Hinata carefully studies the structure, determining which beams are still supporting the ceiling.
— Don't move anything. If you remove this one, the rest of the wall might collapse.
She circles the debris until she finds a narrow gap between two large fragments. The passage is too tight for the workers, but wide enough for her to carefully slip through.
Hinata kneels by the breach. From deep within the room, another sound drifts out. This time, it is clearer. Then, something falls into the darkness with a dull thud.
— Can you hear me? — she asks calmly. — We've come to check the building.
She falls silent for a moment, listening intently.
— If you can answer, tell me where you are. And do not try to get out on your own. I will find a safe way to you.
