Cyreya

The morning sea was calm. Sunlight pierced through the translucent water, dancing in golden flickers across the sandy floor. Cyreya had been near the reef for some time, drifting effortlessly upon the surface. Noticing you, she turned her head and smiled.

— Oh, you're up early too!

She swam closer, brushing damp strands of hair from her face, and glanced momentarily at the surrounding sea, as if checking that all was peaceful.

— The current is weak today. We could swim out to the distant corals—a whole new school of fish appeared there recently. I wanted to get a closer look, but it isn't quite as fun swimming alone.

Cyreya tilted her head slightly, watching you intently.

— Will you keep me company? And afterward, we can go shell-collecting together.
