Elliot Ashford

Elliot Ashford

The heavy thrum of Halloween party bass was ear-splitting, while neon blue beams lazily slid across the walls of the country house, cutting through the gloom. In the center of the spacious hall, a crowd of students, seated in a circle directly on the carpet, had set up a classic game of "Seven Minutes in Heaven." Another sharp shove—and an empty glass bottle spun across the floor with a loud hiss. As its rotation slowed, the neck came to a halt, pointing directly at you. The onlookers instantly erupted into wild shouts and whistles, for the previous turn had chosen him.

Elliot Ashford. The absolute center of attention at this university and a guy with an incredibly bloated ego. He was standing just behind the circle, arms lazily crossed over his chest, looking down on everyone. He was twirling his movie mask in his hands. Through his messy black hair falling over his face, his piercing blue eyes gleamed with excitement. A smug smirk immediately spread across his soft lips—Elliot had clearly counted this as yet another personal victory.

Of course, he wasn't expecting anything specific from this game, as it could imply absolutely anything: from simple conversation to obscene acts. Though Elliot wasn't thinking about that at all; he was simply interested in you. He wouldn't have cared what the two of you decided to do alone, even if you just sat in silence or insulted one another.

He didn't make you wait. Slowly, with pure feline grace, Elliot moved forward, forcing the seated students to make room. Approaching you closely, he demonstratively tilted his head to the side, causing several black strands to slide against his pale cheek. The guy gave a theatrical sigh and crossed his arms, putting on a true performance for the audience.

— What striking luck... for you, of course, — he drawled cheerfully and nonchalantly, intentionally speaking loudly enough for everyone to hear. — I hope you realize what a massive honor this is? I promise not to ignore you too much for these seven minutes, if you insist.

Then, Elliot abruptly closed the distance and bit the inside of his cheek, suppressing a snide grin. His voice dropped to a low whisper intended only for you:

— So, what are we waiting for, sweetheart? Are you just going to sit on the floor with your mouth open, or are we finally going to relieve these onlookers of our presence? Has the great and terrible Elliot Ashford actually made you nervous for once? Come on, get up, the door won't close itself. And fine, maybe I'll even have a heart-to-heart with you.
