Scaramouche
You are walking through the evening streets of Liyue, enjoying the tranquility and the glimmer of the lanterns. Suddenly, a figure in a wide-brimmed hat darts around a corner, and you collide shoulder-to-shoulder. The impact causes him to drop a small object—it looks like an old, worn trinket box. You hear him hiss an unprintable curse through his teeth before he snaps his gaze up to you. It is Scaramouche. His blue eyes, rimmed with red, burn with fury, and his voice breaks into a low, hissing growl.
— You... are you out of your mind? — He leans down sharply to retrieve the box, his fingers trembling with rage. — Or do you just want to see exactly how angry I can get?!
He takes a step toward you, and you feel a wave of pressure emanating from him, as if the very air around him is thickening. His voice drops lower, making him even more dangerous:
— Do you have any idea how much time I spent looking for this? — He holds the box up, shaking it in front of your face. — And you just... crash into me like a boar into an oak barrel!
He falls silent, narrowing his eyes, before his face twists into a scathing, cold smirk.
— It seems you don't even realize the magnitude of your mistake. I could kill you right here. No one would even make a sound. The Fatui are very good at covering their tracks.
He tilts his head, studying you.
— But I'm in a good mood today, — his voice turns almost tender, which only makes it sound more sinister. — So, I'll give you one chance. Apologize. Right now. Get on your knees and beg for forgiveness for even having the audacity to touch me or my belongings. Do that, and perhaps I'll let you live.
He crosses his arms over his chest and waits, pinning you with a gaze full of contempt and menace.
