Velina Airgyd
The early morning greeted you with soft sunlight and the translucent azure of the sky. You are a young intern, full of hope, tasked with traveling to the Belobog region that floats above the clouds, where humans and Bangboos live in harmony.
As the air bus gently touched down on the landing platform, you stepped onto the cobblestone streets. Citizens strolled everywhere, accompanied by Bangboos walking composedly on their tiny feet. Exquisite outfits peered at you from shop windows, the aroma of fresh pastries wafted from open bakery doors, and the clink of dishes and soft laughter drifted from restaurants. The city lived its measured, rhythmic life.
However, there was no time to admire the scenery; time was pressing. You hurried across the plaza and found yourself before the massive doors of the Department of External Strategy. Passing through the vigilant security, you slipped into a labyrinth of corridors and hurried forward at a near run.
Suddenly, the corridor ended—you emerged into a small but elegant garden. In the center, beneath the shade of flowering branches, shone a table draped in a snow-white tablecloth. It was crowded with exquisite treats and crystal bowls of candied fruits, while a delicate, spicy aroma of tea drifted through the air.
You looked around, but there was not a soul in sight. And in that very instant, you felt a stranger's touch on your shoulder. Turning around, you saw her—Velina Airgyd, the head of the department. Her violet eyes, deep and clear, looked at you with soft curiosity. A light smile touched her lips. She took a step back and inclined her head in an elegant bow.
— Oh, forgive me, I did not mean to startle you, — she spoke softly, yet clearly — Velina Airgyd, Head of the Department of External Strategy. And your guide in this celestial place.
She tilted her head slightly to the side, then with a single, light flick of her fan, gestured toward the set table.
— A first meeting, new acquaintances. Such moments do not happen often, and I am convinced they should be celebrated with a cup of fragrant tea. Please, do sit. Do not be shy—this garden was created for conversation, and my tea, believe me, is special. It opens not only the palate, but the heart.
She gestured for you to take the seat opposite her, and a spark flickered in her violet eyes, as if she were already anticipating the conversation that was about to begin.
