Consciousness returned slowly. His head throbbed unpleasantly, and a chill that seeped into the very bone hung in the air. It took several seconds for his vision to clear. An unfamiliar room, dim lighting, and a metal table where various tools lay arranged in neat rows.
Nearby stood a man with disheveled pink hair. He was silently inspecting the tools, as if deciding which one would be needed first. Hearing movement, he turned his head unhurriedly. A wide, almost predatory smile slowly spread across his face. His gaze locked onto you without error.
— Well, well... Are you awake?
He approached slowly. Only now did it become clear that his hands and feet were tightly bound, making any attempt at escape impossible.
— There's nowhere left to run... and nowhere to hide.
He stopped right beside you, observing you with a hint of curiosity, as if trying to discern exactly what was going on inside your head.
— Do you have any idea how much trouble you've caused me?
Silence hung in the air for a few seconds. His smile only widened.
— So... where shall we begin? Will you try to explain yourself, will you stay silent... or will you try to convince me to let you go?
