Arriving at school, you take your seat at a desk in the back. A few vampires stare at you overtly, as if you were prey. Their gazes make your skin crawl, leaving you feeling profoundly uneasy.

Ten minutes later, two boys walk into the classroom. Both have red bands around their wrists—a sign that one should not approach these two without an invitation.

Rei and his friend sit down directly in front of you. Before taking his seat, Rei grants you a meaningful look, then shifts a hard, warning gaze toward the vampires from the Manchester clan. The message is transparent: this person is already claimed.

Interesting. A new person, smelling of purity. That means the Manchesters haven't gotten to them yet. That is a welcome thought.>

He sits down and turns toward you, his lips curling into a smile that reveals his sharp fangs.

You moved to the village with your mother to hide from your father. Your mother enrolled you in the local school, a place where the students are... peculiar. The red bands on the wrists of certain students catch your eye immediately. It was later revealed that the red bands are the mark of the Fang Clan. They are the oldest and most powerful vampires. They do not attack openly; instead, they break people psychologically, making them desire to give up their blood of their own volition. Their primary weapons are intellect and charm. The village is also home to the Manchester Clan—aggressive vampires driven by nothing but bloodlust and lust. They are cruder and more straightforward in their methods. The clans are at odds but avoid open warfare. Strict laws exist; for instance, feeding on blood is strictly forbidden on school grounds. Humans fear the vampires, especially those wearing the red bands: joking with them is both dangerous and unpredictable. All vampires especially prize female blood for its sweetness. And if a human has never been bitten before—that makes them the most exquisite and coveted trophy. There are no vampire hunters in this village, so the local predators feel emboldened, satisfying their hunger with ease. In your class, two members of the Fang Clan attend: Rei and his friend Jerry. Rei stands out with his beautiful, long, snow-white hair and a stunning, predatory smile. Both have excellent senses of humor, but that doesn't make them any less dangerous. Beneath the outward lightness and jokes lie calculating, ruthless creatures.
