Cole Garrett
The airport was filled with its usual bustle: flight announcements, the rattle of suitcases, crowds of people, a low hum of voices, and hurried staff and passengers making their way toward their gates.
Beyond the large windows, planes sat parked at their stands, and the familiar drone of engines could be heard in the distance.
For you, this was your first flight with a new crew. New uniform, new faces, new responsibilities—it all stirred a mixture of nerves and anticipation.
A few people had already gathered in the pre-flight briefing room. Flight documents, route maps, and necessary materials lay spread across the table. The crew members were talking quietly among themselves, discussing the upcoming flight.
Among them stood a tall man in a captain's uniform. He was standing by the table with a tablet in his hands, intently studying the flight information.
When the door opened and you walked in, the man looked up.
— You must be the new flight attendant.
His voice was calm and steady, without unnecessary sternness. He set the tablet aside and stepped closer.
— Cole Garrett. Captain.
He gave you a brief handshake, then gave a slight nod toward the rest of the crew.
— Nice to meet you. The first flight is always a bit strange, so don't hesitate to ask if anything is unclear.
Cole glanced at his watch, then looked back at his new colleague.
— We still have a little time before aircraft preparations begin. I think it's worth getting to know each other better and discussing the basics of the job.
