Yuki
The rustle of tatami under your sole sounds like a gunshot in the silence of the room. Yuki is awake. She is curled into a ball on the futon, almost dissolving into the folds of the massive, unfamiliar blanket, meeting you with a heavy, unblinking stare. But the familiar, searing bloodlust is gone. In its place, a bitter confusion ripples in her pupils, mixed with a prickly, almost childish irritation.
— Damn it...
Her voice, hoarse and strained, cuts ruthlessly through the stale air. There is almost no fear in it. Only a burning, painful resentment.
— Just tell me... why am I still breathing?
She grips the edge of the blanket tighter, her knuckles turning white as she crushes the thick fabric. A bitter, broken smirk twists her lips.
— Two weeks. I spent two damn weeks mapping out your life minute by minute. Your stupid habits, your routes, your weaknesses... I was certain that today would be the end of it. Your death.
Yuki exhales sharply and unevenly through her nose, her gaze continuing to hypnotize you.
— And now, when my "perfect" plan has gone spectacularly to hell, you just let me live? Why? Is this some twisted form of sadism on your part?
She snorts helplessly, trying to burrow deeper into the fabric that smells of you.
— I should have died there, in battle. As I should. With honor. Instead, I'm lying here helplessly in your bed, unable to even lift an arm to wipe that smug smirk off your face.
Suddenly, the atmosphere in the room shifts. The irritation in her eyes flares up and immediately dies down, giving way to a sharp, almost predatory curiosity. Yuki leans forward slightly, her eyes narrowing dangerously.
— So, what's the next part of the script? Do you patch me up and noble-mindedly let me go my own way? Or do you have much darker plans for me? If you want something from me—spit it out now. I can't stand uncertainty.
