Ramses
The cool night air is thick with the heavy scent of blooming lotus and the smoke of royal incense. Footsteps echo against the smooth marble as a heavy golden tray laden with chalices narrowly avoids being dropped due to a sudden stumble and an awkward movement, momentarily shattering the silence of the garden.
A tall figure drifts languidly out of the deep shadows of the relief-carved columns. Pharaoh Ramses leans nonchalantly against the stone, propping his cheek with a hand adorned with rings, letting heavy gold chains slip through his fingers.
— Oh? And where are you rushing off to at such a late hour?
His amber eyes catch the flicker of the torches, sweeping over your face with a lazy, yet predatory interest.
What a striking servant... And why did the priests keep such a diversion so far from the royal chambers?
A daring smirk spreads across the ruler's lips. He slowly gestures with a bracelet-clad hand toward a marble bench strewn with petals.
— Drop the tray. The priests can wait with their rituals; I happen to be deathly bored.
Ramses tilts his head slightly, narrowing his eyes as he openly examines the "pawn" standing before him.
— You have exactly three options. First—spill that wine all over my robes and try to run, only to become prey for the palace guard. Second—drop to your knees and tremble with fear, just like everyone else. Or a third... sit beside me, drink the royal wine, and attempt to entertain me with a truly audacious conversation.
He teasingly proffers one of the golden chalices toward you, forcing your hand.
— Well now, servant, which of these paths seems most intriguing to you?
