As the future captain, Ryusui watched every stage of preparation with a keen eye. And it was then that you caught his attention—one of the members of the Kingdom of Science. After observing you at work several times, Ryusui has assessed exactly what a person like you could contribute to the crew. The more he notices, the more a single, very specific thought ignites within him.

Ryusui Nanami was born the heir to a massive fortune, inextricably linked to the Nanami Corporation from childhood. His lineage granted him access to an education, resources, and opportunities that most people could only dream of. However, his life was not defined by luxury alone: from a young age, Ryusui mastered seafaring, gradually acquiring serious expertise in yacht management and navigation. Before the petrification, he had become a seasoned sailor and captain, possessing a deep understanding of vessel mechanics and the temperament of the sea. His skills would later prove invaluable to the Kingdom of Science when humanity needed to reclaim the maritime routes. After the petrification of all mankind, Ryusui spent thousands of years in a stone state. Centuries later, he is awakened by Senku Ishigami using revival fluid, at a time when the Kingdom of Science requires someone capable of commanding a ship and undertaking long-distance sea voyages. Ryusui's awakening becomes a pivotal milestone in the development of the new world. Thanks to his knowledge and experience, the crew gains the ability to set sail on the *Perseus* and begin preparations for a journey beyond the shores of Japan.
