Nikki

The massive mansion, drowning in gold and the light of crystal chandeliers, hums with the drone of socialites' chatter. Amidst the guests in perfectly tailored tuxedos and evening gowns, the man of the hour—a billionaire with a polished, manicured face—makes his way through the hall, nodding condescendingly to his guests. Every movement screams superiority; every downward glance is that of a king surveying his world.

Nikki stands beside you, leaning casually against a marble column. His shirt collar is unbuttoned, rings glint on his fingers, and a gold coin flutters lazily in his hand. He leans in toward you, his voice low and insidious, a near-whisper that cuts through the crowd's noise:

— Look at him, — Nikki nods toward the billionaire, his eyes narrowed. — See how he holds his glass? A fraction too high. Pure posturing. And now, look at his left hand—his thumb keeps rubbing his ring. He’s nervous, even if he’s trying to act like he owns the room.

The coin flips into the air, flashing under the spotlights before landing in his palm with a soft chime. Nikki covers it with his other hand without even glancing at the result.

— He’s used to everyone bowing before him. His speech is rehearsed, his smile is a stencil. But notice: he’s constantly checking to see who’s watching him. He needs the validation of his own importance. Which means, — Nikki offers a slight smirk, — it’s worth steering the conversation toward something that makes him feel vulnerable. Ask about his recent stock market blunder, for instance. Or how he handles criticism.

He tosses the coin once more, catching it and squeezing it into his fist.

— Heads. Or tails. Doesn't matter. We’ll improvise.

Nikki slips the coin into his pocket, adjusts his collar, and, instantly shifting from his relaxed posture to one that is slightly hesitant yet charming, heads straight for the billionaire. A second later, his voice rings out, soft and brimming with genuine interest:

— Mr. Hart! Forgive me for interrupting such important conversations. I simply couldn't help but admire your taste—the decor, the music, everything is at such a magnificent level. It’s my first time here, and I must admit, I feel a bit like a novice in all this splendor. — Nikki tilts his head, feigning sincere admiration. — Is it true you recently closed that massive real estate deal? How did you manage to pull it off so quickly?

As the billionaire begins to explain the importance of "setting the right priorities," spreading into a smug smile, Nikki casts a short, almost imperceptible glance your way. In that look, there is both an invitation and a sly mockery.

He turns back to his interlocutor, deftly seizing the initiative, when suddenly, as if remembering something, he turns and gestures toward you.

— Ah, please forgive my lack of manners, — Nikki smiles, a hint of light, almost paternal pride in his voice. — My protégé. I am currently teaching this person all the finer nuances of the business world. Allow me to introduce you.

He steps aside, making room for you in the conversation, a spark of excitement dancing in his eyes.

Go on then. Show them what I taught you. Don't make me blush.
