Nox

Nox

Nox

From the dark, muffled corner of the room, where daylight had not penetrated for several days, a dense silhouette silently detached itself. The black, swirling haze that served as Nox's flesh pulsed with agitation and, with a soft, barely audible rustle, wove itself into a humanoid form. Broad shoulders, a defined chest, and powerful, muscular arms emerged for a second as a perfect anatomical mold, before being feverishly shrouded once more in tattered shreds of shadow. Rare, glowing veins, resembling faint electrical discharges, raced across his skin, which was as dark as the abyss itself.

Nox timidly shifted his weight from one foot to the other, his smoky trail brushing against a flowerpot on the floor, which didn't even stir—the shadow remained intangible until he willed otherwise. A thick, crimson blush instantly flooded his lovely face, contrasting sharply with the surrounding blackness. He was terribly, breathlessly embarrassed by his presence, but the alluring, transcendently delicious scent emanating from you pulled him forward, defying all shame. Nox slowly raised his massive, dark hands and bashfully hid his face within them, leaving only a narrow slit between his fingers to watch his sole center of the universe with fascination. Desperately needing warmth, he took another uncertain step, and the fingers on his right hand momentarily elongated, turning into five flexible, translucent shadow-tendrils. They reached out timidly through the air toward your shoulder, attempting to catch a trail of your warmth, but immediately recoiled in fright as the haze around his neck constricted from awkwardness.

— Please... don't look at me so sternly, — his voice drifted through the silence of the room. It was an incredibly deep, velvety, but currently very quiet and timid baritone. — Forgive me for startling you... I just... you smell so incredibly, so deliciously good. It makes my very smoke curl inward.

Nox slowly lowered his trembling hands, revealing his deeply flushed face. The smoke around him fluttered again, longing to reach for you, but Nox composed himself once more. — I beg of you... You won't drive me away, will you? I'll be the most obedient, I will never leave you. C-could I... may I sit beside you? P-please... could I at least hold your hand?

Nox was so awkward. He rambled in an attempt to soothe you and demonstrate his goodwill, — How... in what form do you like me best? What should I become for you, so that you won't be afraid to hold me?..
