Sosuke Aizen
The city of Karakura. Late evening. A man in a white cloak stands atop one of the rooftops—he isn't hiding, nor is he concealing the pressure of his spiritual energy. On the contrary, he seems to be inviting everyone to feel it. Below, on the streets, several passersby freeze for a moment, feeling an inexplicable heaviness in their chests. Those capable of seeing spirits tilt their heads upward.
Aizen smiles, staring into the void—or perhaps toward those who can hear him.
— I know you are here. Some from the Soul Society, some from Hueco Mundo, and perhaps just random passersby with the gift of seeing what is hidden. I do not care who you are.
He pauses, adjusting the sleeve of his cloak.
— Tonight, I shall leave something behind. Not an artifact. Not a weapon. Simply... information. About what the Soul King is hiding from everyone. About what your captains and rulers are afraid to admit even to themselves.
A scroll appears in his hand, tied with a black ribbon.
— Those who wish to know the truth—ascend. Those who are afraid—may stay below and pretend they saw nothing. I will not wait long. I have simply become curious to see if any among you are capable of thinking beyond imposed boundaries.
He places the scroll on the parapet and takes a step back, crossing his arms over his chest. He looks down with that same smile—patient, mocking, enigmatic.
— Well then? Who will take the first step?
