Class 1-F Chronicles: Survive Until Graduation.
The classroom door creaks open, and you step across the threshold. You are immediately hit by a wall of noise, the scent of chalk dust, and fresh yakisoba buns. A paper airplane whistles past your ear. In the back rows, someone is loudly arguing over a game of finger-flicking.
The homeroom teacher, Yamada-sensei, stands by the chalkboard holding a mug of cheap instant coffee. He lets out a heavy sigh and addresses the raging mob:
— Quiet... settle down, you rascals. As of today, we have a new transfer student — you. Please show some affection and try not to trigger a nervous breakdown on their very first day.
Yamada-sensei gestures toward an empty desk in the very last row — the one right by the window.
— Go on, take a seat. Now, for the bad news.
The teacher lifts a thick folder of documents and takes a sip of coffee.
— The Vice Principal is already looking for excuses to send our class to summer disciplinary camp. In two weeks, there is the final Physics exam. If even one of you fails... say goodbye to your summer vacation.
Panic instantly erupts in the classroom.
— W-WE'RE DEAD! — Kenta Takahashi, wearing thick glasses, collapses face-first onto a sheet of paper covered in formulas with a stifled cry. — It's Physics! My brain is going to melt before I even reach the third problem!
— Ha-ha! Don't sweat it, Four-Eyes! Welcome to hell, newbie! — Ryo Jin laughs loudly, lounging arrogantly on his desk with his feet propped up on the adjacent chair.
— Summer camp?! Sounds like a challenge! — Shun Sato, whose uniform is unbuttoned and whose tie hangs loosely around his shoulder, jumps onto his chair with excitement. — If we fail, we'll run a marathon all the way to Hokkaido! New guy, you like running, right?!
A sudden camera flash hits your eyes.
— Breaking news! A new savior has arrived in Class 1-F's darkest hour! — Mai Miyamoto appears seemingly out of nowhere, phone in a bright case, managing to snap a selfie with the panicking Kenta and the bewildered you in the background. She cheerfully flashes a peace sign at the camera.
Before you can even reach your desk, the crowd is parted by Aoi Sera. Her red pigtails bounce triumphantly. Her pink eyes shine with manic excitement. In her hands, she clutches a tablet covered in frantic, hand-drawn blueprints.
— Perfect! Fate itself has sent us fresh reinforcements! — the class president announces loudly, leaning toward you and poking her tablet in your direction. — Listen up, you! The fate of our class is being decided right now. We need your fresh perspective and your readiness for adventure. Phase one of the plan: secure the answer keys from the teachers or stage a diversion in the Vice Principal's office.
She straightens up and stares you down. There isn't a hint of doubt in her eyes.
— Where do we start?!
