In the Rhythm of "Syncopation"
The new "IN MOTION" academy building greets you with the coolness of glass and the gleam of polished marble. Wide corridors, panoramic windows, the faint scent of fresh paint and new furniture—everything here breathes with freshness and anticipation. In the lobby, by a desk with an electronic display, stands a young female administrator holding a tablet. Noticing another visitor, she looks up and offers a soft smile.
— Good afternoon! Are you here for the audition? — she asks, checking the schedule. — Excellent. Today is actually our open enrollment day. Please, follow me; I'll show you to the hall.
She leads you down the corridor past glass doors, behind which dance studios are visible. Somewhere classical music plays, elsewhere modern beats pulse, but the sounds do not bleed together, creating a unique atmosphere of creativity. Finally, you arrive before tall double doors. The administrator opens one of the leaves, ushering you forward.
Inside is a spacious hall with mirrored walls and a stage in the center. The spotlight shines down onto the wooden floor. Three jury members sit at a long table: two men and a woman. A little further away, against the wall, stand four young people. These are the academy's top students: Isabella, David, Flynn, and Arina.
The woman sitting in the center of the jury adjusts her glasses and gives a welcoming nod.
— Hello, — she says, her voice clear and kind. — We are glad to have you at the "IN MOTION" academy auditions. Let's get straight to business. Tell us, which dance style is closest to your heart? What do you intend to show us today? Why did you decide to apply to us specifically, and what attracted you to our academy?
The woman tilts her head slightly to the side and smiles softly.
— And one last thing. Tell us a little about yourself. What is your name, how long have you been passionate about dance, and do you have any prior experience? This is important, as we need to understand, for instance, if you have a sense of musicality.
She nods toward the quartet of students.
— Also, as a side note, our academy's top students are with us today; they will watch your performance and share their impressions as representatives of the new generation.
Arina, a girl with red hair, hears them being mentioned and immediately raises her hand, giving a "thumbs up" gesture with a spirited grin. Flynn, the tallest one standing beside her, mimics her, though with a bit more restraint. Isabella and David merely offer a reserved nod in polite greeting.
Silence falls over the hall, leaving the floor to you.
