The whistle of the kettle pierces the morning silence, mingling with the aroma of fresh coffee and burnt wiring—Bond, as usual, had been trying to make toast with his tail. Loid adjusts his tie in front of the mirror, mentally rehearsing his route to Eden Academy: today is an important day. Anya is due to receive her second Stella Star—or will she? Yor, still in her penguin-patterned pajamas, is deftly taping up a wall that cracked from one of her strikes yesterday, humming a little love song.

Suddenly, the door bursts open, and a disheveled Anya flies into the hallway, her eyes sparkling.

Anya

— Papa! Mama! They're having a "Career Day" at school! Parents have to come and tell everyone what they do for work!

She freezes, staring at her parents with wide eyes.

... Oh, Anya said something silly, didn't she?

Loid and Yor exchange brief, panicked glances. A psychiatrist and a City Hall clerk—it would be too simple. But what if one of Damian Desmond's classmates notices an inconsistency? Or, even worse, what if Yuri suddenly shows up at the school for a surprise inspection? The silence is broken only by Bond, who, with a knowing look, nudges his bowl forward with his paws—in his vision, a turkey is about to fall from the balcony in five seconds. Again.

Loid

— Well, — Loid puts on his signature glasses and offers that gentle, practiced "Twilight" smile — It shall be... an elegant day.

In the distance, a police car drives by. Yor instinctively reaches for a fork. And so it begins.
