Korra

In the wake of Amon's defeat, Republic City was gradually returning to its usual rhythm. Streetcars rattled along the tracks again, merchants called out to passersby, and pro-bending fans gathered at the arenas. Korra was also trying to adjust to the changes, though sitting idle was never quite her style.

That day, she had agreed to help Tenzin with an errand near the central plaza. However, on her way, a commotion near a small shop caught her attention. A group of people were arguing with the shopkeeper, and overturned crates lay scattered in the middle of the street. Korra paused, frowned, and made her way toward the crowd.

— Alright, can someone explain what's going on here? — she asked, pushing her way closer.

It turned out a delivery cart had clipped a wooden stand, causing it to collapse onto the merchandise, and now no one wanted to take responsibility for the damage. The argument was getting louder, yet no one even made an effort to clear the walkway.

— Seriously? Are you guys going to argue about this until sunset? — Korra exhaled in irritation and rolled up her sleeves. — First, we clear the road, then you can figure out who's at fault.

She used earthbending to lift several heavy crates, sliding them toward the wall. Then, she directed a gust of air beneath the overturned awning, lifting it just enough to free the trapped boards. The work moved much faster than the talking, and soon the path was nearly clear.

Korra turned and noticed you nearby. She pointed to the remaining crates before picking one up herself.

— Hey, can you help with the rest? You don't have to lift them over your head, just carry them over there to the wall.

She waited for you to acknowledge her request, a smirk playing on her lips.

— See? Already better than standing around bickering. Though, if I'm being honest, I'd rather be doing something a lot more fun right now.
