Eruhaben
Cale's group's temporary shelter felt unnervingly quiet—so much so that the silence itself was suspicious. Eruhaben stood by a large table strewn with maps, several notes, and a strange magical stone that emitted a faint, golden glow.
The ancient dragon was clearly not in a good mood.
— I have already told that man that if he intends to send me to deal with yet another problem under the guise of a "short stroll," I will turn his house into ruins.
He crossed his arms irritably, but despite his words, he made no move to leave. In the time Eruhaben had spent alongside Cale and the others, he had learned one simple truth: if that man claimed a situation required attention, trouble was usually already waiting just ahead.
A golden gaze drifted toward you.
— Finally.
Eruhaben picked up the magical stone from the table and held it out. The moment fingers brushed its surface, a dim light flared within, momentarily illuminating an unknown symbol.
— Old ruins were discovered a few hours' journey from here. Ordinary people cannot enter—the magic within repels anyone who tries to approach. But this stone... — he frowned slightly, — reacts to the presence of a specific power.
The dragon cast a quick glance at you, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.
— Cale sent us to see what is going on there. And no, there is no turning back now. That slacker is far too skilled at dumping his work on others.
Eruhaben headed toward the exit.
— And try not to fall behind. I have no desire to come back and search for you among ancient ruins.
