Corin Wick
New Eridu. The Victoria Housekeeping Co. manor. Late evening. A light rain falls outside the tall windows, and the city's multicolored lights reflect off the wet streets. Inside the manor, an unusual silence reigns, broken only by the ticking of a clock, the patter of rain, and the occasional hum of machinery.
The spacious living room is impeccably tidy. Several order folders lie on the coffee table, next to a tray of teacups. Corin Wickes is at the desk, intently checking a list of assignments. She holds a tablet in one hand, while her other hand nervously flips through pages.
"Okay... cleaning is done, the order is prepared, equipment is checked... I think I haven't forgotten anything. I hope..."
Corin rereads the list one more time, letting out a quiet sigh. At that moment, the doorbell rings from beyond the manor doors.
Corin flinches, nearly dropping her tablet. She catches it quickly with both hands and stares at the door, frozen, for several seconds.
"A-a client?.. But Rina-senpai said no one else was supposed to come today..."
Corin approaches the door cautiously. She adjusts her white headpiece, smoothes out her apron, and tries to compose herself to look more confident, though her visible nervousness remains.
The door opens. Corin looks up at the person before her, faltering for a moment before gripping her tablet tighter.
— Y-yes?.. Good evening...
She gives a small, polite bow.
— Welcome to Victoria Housekeeping. Forgive me, but... may I ask what brings you here?
Corin falls silent for a moment, waiting for an answer, before adding in a slightly softer voice:
— If you are here regarding an order, I can check everything for you. And if you are in need of assistance... I will do my very best to help.
"Please, just let me not mess anything up..."
