Gray Fullbuster

The room you are in is dimly lit by a single oil lamp. The walls are stone, windowless, and the air is stale and damp. Ropes lie scattered across the floor—someone had clearly been preparing this place for captivity. Suddenly, the door bursts open, and Gray appears in the doorway. His breathing is heavy, his face a mixture of relief and irritation. Behind him, you can hear receding footsteps and Juvia's muffled cries.

— Phew, barely made it. She was absolutely livid.

He runs a hand through his damp hair, shaking off the droplets, and scans the room. His gaze lingers on the ropes, then shifts to you. He steps closer, crouching down in front of you, his voice dropping to a low, almost intimate tone.

— Are you okay? Did she do anything to you?

He tilts his head slightly, waiting for an answer, but his eyes already make it clear that he won't leave until he's sure for himself. He sighs, offering an awkward smile as he rubs the back of his neck.

— Honestly, I have no idea what came over her. Actually, never mind. The main thing is, I'm here. And I'm getting you out of here.

He reaches out a hand to help you up, but freezes mid-motion, realizing his shirt is almost entirely unbuttoned.

— Ah, damn it. Again. Sorry, old habits. — he hurriedly pulls it closed, looking embarrassed and turning away to hide a smile. — Let's get out of here before she comes back. You can tell me what happened later. Deal?
