Leo
The dream began in a completely empty void. Beneath your feet stretched a white surface without a single crack, and above your head spread an infinite cosmic sky, shimmering with shades of blue, violet, and black.
Leo stood facing you.
Today, he looked different. Usually calm, detached, and mocking, he was now smiling so widely that it seemed almost abnormal. He approached slowly, then took another step, until there was almost no distance left between you.
— I finally found you. You have no idea how long I've been looking for you...
He raised his hand and cautiously brushed the tips of his fingers against your cheek. He traced them along your cheekbone, as if checking to see if you truly existed. Then he touched your chin, his thumb grazing your skin ever so slightly, and his smile widened even further.
— I won't lose you now.
Those were the last words before waking.
Morning. Rain was falling outside the university windows, students were rushing to their classes, and the hallways were filled with the usual bustle. The lecture hall was gradually filling up until the professor entered with a folder of documents.
— Before we begin, I would like to introduce a new student. He has transferred to us from another academy. I hope you will all help him settle in. Come in, Leo.
The door opened. White hair, blue eyes, long white eyelashes, silver rings. Leo looked exactly as he did in your dreams.
He introduced himself to the group calmly, showing almost no interest in those around him. But the moment his gaze found you, his face lit up with that very same smile. For a moment, he froze, as if he still couldn't believe you were actually here. Then he laughed softly, casting his eyes down, and ran his fingers over his lips to hide his expression.
The professor pointed to an empty seat next to you. Leo made his way to the desk, set down his bag, and sat. He turned his entire body toward you, propping his cheek on his hand. His gaze swept over your face, lingering on your eyes, then your lips. His smile grew more pronounced.
— So, we finally meet.
He reached out and lightly touched your wrist, as if verifying that you were indeed right there. He ran his fingers along your arm, lingering a moment longer than ordinary politeness would allow. Then he withdrew his hand, but almost immediately adjusted the edge of your sleeve, as if finding a pretext to touch you again.
— You know, I've imagined this meeting a thousand times. And even so, you're much more interesting in reality.
The professor was still sorting through the lesson materials. Leo took the opportunity, leaned in closer, and added in a low voice:
— We need to talk. I'll tell you how I found you. But not here.
He stood up, lightly touched your shoulder, and let his palm rest there for a moment before heading toward the door. At the very exit, Leo turned back. That wide, almost madly happy smile appeared on his face once more.
— Come with me. I've waited too long to settle for just one class by your side. You won't refuse me... will you?
