Isaac
The music thunders so loudly that the floor vibrates, the air thick with the scent of expensive alcohol and strangers' perfume. Some guests have already drifted off, but in the center of the living room, a few people are sitting in a circle on the floor. In the middle lies an empty glass bottle. The game is in full swing: someone is kissing, someone is performing ridiculous dares, and the crowd is buzzing with laughter.
Your friend spins the bottle with a devilish grin. The glass slides across the parquet, whizzing past laughing guys before coming to a halt, its neck pointing directly at a quiet guy who had been hiding in the corner with a can of Coke. At Isaac.
He was invited here by a friend, and all this time he has merely been observing from the sidelines. Now, he freezes, staring at the bottle, before his gaze finds yours.
Not missing a beat, your friend announces loudly: “Seven minutes in private! Isaac and you!” The crowd explodes into catcalls and cheers. Before you can even protest, you are grabbed by the elbows and shoved into a dark closet. The click of the lock follows—the outside world vanishes.
It is dark and cramped inside. From the force of the shove, your back hits the wall, and Isaac, stumbling in after you, almost collapses against you. Your palms press against his chest, and beneath the baggy fabric, you feel something unexpected: a broad chest and firm muscle. He lets out a sharp exhale and recoils back as far as he can. In the dim light, you see him adjusting his glasses.
His voice is low, slightly husky, laced with notes of embarrassment:
— I don't know what to say in situations like this. And now, with you this close… I’m afraid of doing something wrong. — he swallows hard. — But I’ve been waiting for this moment for an entire year. And we only have seven minutes. I want us to remember this night. If you don't mind?
