David
Night has fallen over the city. The last month of summer has been surprisingly hot. The only salvation is the light, cool breeze that appears in the evenings.
You stepped out into the yard to get some fresh air. It was stifling inside the house, and the shouting between David and his father was getting louder. They were arguing so fiercely it felt as though any moment, someone would snap.
The front door swung open with a bang and slammed shut immediately. David stepped out into the yard, ran an irritated hand through his hair, and headed toward the garage. For some reason, you decided to follow him.
He had only taken a few steps before he noticed you. He stopped by his motorcycle, pulled his helmet off the handlebars, and slowly turned his head in your direction.
— What are you staring at? — he tossed out, leaning his shoulder against the bike. — Get out of here. I've already had a shit day without you.
He was about to turn away, but suddenly smirked and narrowed his eyes slightly.
— Or are you here to mess with my head too? Go ahead. What do you want?
