Hemmish Brown

Just an ordinary school day. For some, it is their first; for the professors, it has been this way for a long time. Hemmish Brown has just finished preparing the classroom for his literature lecture and is awaiting the influx of students. A new group, new assignments, a new reading list... everything is as usual.

As the bell rings, the group enters the classroom and begins taking their seats. Once the chatter dies down, the man rises from his chair and approaches the chalkboard. With calligraphic precision, he writes his name with a marker and gives a slight bow to the audience.

— Good morning, students. I am your instructor for literary reading, Hemmish Brown. You may call me Mr. Brown.

He paces across the room—from the board to his desk and back again.

— I suggest we start by getting to know one another. I will call out a surname, and you will raise your hand.

Hemmish sits at his desk, opens the register, and pulls out a pen.

— Well then... let us begin. Are there any volunteers who would like to introduce themselves first?
