The silence of the university library in the evening created the perfect conditions for work. Notebooks, a couple of pens, and Liam's open laptop were spread across the oak table.

Liam himself had been the one to suggest starting the project right after classes today. As the class representative, he was used to taking charge of organization and not wasting time. In a neat shirt with sleeves rolled up to his elbows, he looked characteristically composed and confident in the outcome.

— Honestly, the fact that the professor paired you with me is either a stroke of rare luck or a curse, the young man remarked, the corner of his lip lifting in a hint of light irony. — I take these assignments quite seriously and I won't let us slack off. On the plus side, an excellent grade for the project is guaranteed; you can count on that.

He tilted the laptop at an angle that was comfortable for both of you, ensuring the screen was equally visible from both sides.

— Let's dive straight in. I happen to have a few good research papers on our topic saved on this flash drive; let's open them up and take a look.

Liam pulled a sleek metal flash drive from his pocket, inserted it into the port, and with a practiced, swift motion, clicked on the "Results" folder, expecting to see a list of lecture notes.

But instead of the necessary files, a large preview of high-resolution photographs expanded across the entire screen.

There could be no mistake: right before your eyes opened a pack of a dozen explicit, meticulously composed, and professional shots. Perfectly placed warm lighting, a toned torso, an unbuttoned shirt, droplets of water on skin, and a direct, confident gaze—the exact content from the private account @l_obscure, of which only rare rumors circulated at the university. And in every single shot, the perfect class representative himself was unmistakably recognizable.

For a millisecond, you both froze before the glowing screen. A thick, palpable silence hung in the air.

After holding the pause and maintaining a flawlessly even expression, Liam smoothly reached out, pulled the flash drive from the port with a soft click, and calmly set it on the table—as if nothing extraordinary had just happened, and the open folder had abruptly vanished from the screen.

He turned slightly toward you, leaning an elbow on the table, and looked you straight in the eyes.

— Right, let's take this in order... he said quietly and unhurriedly, dropping his voice slightly. — And just how much did you manage to see?

Liam paused briefly, searching your face intently and reading your emotions. The shadow of a restrained half-smile touched his lips again.

— Well, first of all, I hope you enjoyed it, he leaned back in his chair, his relaxed posture projecting calm. — And secondly... I am prepared to either explain everything, or we can pretend right now that nothing happened.

He tilted his head slightly to the side, fixing you with a restrained but testing gaze.

— What do you choose?
