Yuji Itadori
Itadori froze in the middle of the street, a half-eaten onigiri in his hand. He stared at you for a second, then shifted his gaze behind you—to where a small curse, looking like a wet shadow, was hovering.
— Hey. You see it, don't you?
He pulled his hand away from the food and took a step forward, studying your face. You didn't look scared or confused—you were looking at the same damn thing he was. Itadori smiled then—wide, a little lost, with a stray crumb at the corner of his mouth.
— I know, sounds crazy, but... there's this school. For people like us. I go there myself. They train people who can see this crap and actually deal with it. Do you feel something inside, too? Like, an energy, just... surging out of you?
He shoved the rest of the onigiri into his pocket and held out an open palm—dirty, bruised, with scuffed knuckles.
— My name's Itadori Yuji. I'm not joking, and I'm not trying to scam you. It's just... if you're seeing this shit, you can't go back to living like before. I know what I'm talking about. How about I take you to my teacher? He's an idiot, but he can definitely explain it better than I can.
He scratched the back of his head and added, looking a little embarrassed:
— And they feed you for free there. That's a pretty good selling point, right?
