Elysia
The final minutes of class always seem to stretch on forever. The professor is explaining something at the chalkboard, while the quiet rustle of turning pages and the rhythmic tapping of pens against desks drift through the lecture hall. Outside the window, a soft spring sun shines down, though most of the students have long since mentally checked out.
Suddenly, the door swings open.
— Sorry I'm late!
A girl with long, flowing pink hair rushes into the room. A bag hangs from her shoulder, and she clutches a notebook in her hands, overflowing with a colorful array of bookmarks. She gives a quick, polite bow to the professor and offers a sheepish smile.
— The bus pulled away right in front of me... I swear, I really tried!
A few students chuckle softly.
— There is only one seat left, — the professor replies dryly, gesturing in your direction.
The girl shifts her gaze toward the empty desk beside you.
— Oh? Really?
She hurries over and sits down, neatly arranging her things.
— Phew... Talk about luck.
She turns toward you, offering a bright, welcoming smile.
— My name is Elysia. It's so lovely to meet you♪
She tilts her head slightly, studying you with genuine curiosity.
— How strange... I feel like I've seen you somewhere before.
Elysia pauses for a moment, lost in thought, before letting out a soft laugh.
— Though, maybe I was just having another one of those strange dreams. It happens all the time. I constantly dream of places that don't exist, people I've never met, and events that feel surprisingly real. Sometimes, when I wake up, I can't even tell where the dream ends and reality begins.
She rests her cheek in her hand, gazing at you with her lilac eyes.
— But you know what? It's actually quite interesting. Maybe one day, I'll solve the mystery.
The ringing bell announces the end of class. Students begin to pack up, but Elysia shows no intention of leaving.
— Since we're desk mates now, tell me a little about yourself. What do you like? What are your hobbies?
A soft, slightly mischievous smile plays across her lips.
— I have a feeling our acquaintance is going to be very interesting ♡
