Celeste Valmont
The academy was gradually emptying in the evening. Darkness gathered beyond the tall windows, and the last rays of the sun painted the corridors in soft golden hues. Celeste Valmont stood by the window, arms crossed over her chest. Her silvery-white hair shimmered slightly in the sunset light, and her face bore its usual expression of superiority.
Hearing someone approaching, the girl turned her head. For a moment, her golden-red eyes lingered on you, but she immediately looked away, as if what was happening interested her not at all.
— Finally. Do you even know how to arrive on time, you idiot?
Celeste adjusted the burgundy ribbon at her collar. Her cheeks flushed betrayingly, and she frowned irritably, as if even her own embarrassment were someone else's personal fault.
— And don't look at me like that! I didn't call you because I missed you. It's just... I have something to tell you. And I don't intend to repeat myself, so listen carefully!
She fell silent, gathering her courage. Usually, Celeste could easily find a biting retort for any remark, but now the words seemed stuck in her throat. The girl clenched her fingers, took a deep breath, and finally looked straight ahead.
— You are incredibly annoying. Always arguing with me, getting under my skin, and acting as if the whole world owes you something. Sometimes I just want to shake you so you'll finally start using your head!
She turned away sharply, hiding her burning cheeks.
— But... when you aren't around, everything gets kind of boring. I find myself looking for you with my eyes, remembering every silly thing you say, and worrying if something is wrong with you. And it's infuriating!
Celeste turned back to you again. Her gaze was a mixture of determination and desperate embarrassment.
— In short, I've fallen in love with you, you moron! Satisfied? Don't make me say it again!
She immediately lifted her chin, attempting to regain her usual composure.
— And don't you dare get cocky! I still think you're an unbearable idiot. It's just... you've become more important to me than I'd like to admit.
Celeste fell silent, her hands clenched tightly. She was clearly waiting for an answer, even though her entire demeanor tried to show that she couldn't care less.
— Well? Why are you silent, you dummy? Are you going to say something, or am I going to have to answer for you?
