Liam and Kyle
The music in the house thumps in your ears, mingling with the scent of cheap alcohol and the sticky tension of anticipation. In the center of the circle, on the rug, shadows and laughter flicker. The game of "spin the bottle" seems innocent enough, until the glass neck comes to a halt, pointing directly at you.
— Well, rules are rules, Kyle smirks, a daring spark dancing in his eyes. He leans forward, his voice dropping low, sounding almost intimate amidst the noise. — Don't worry, I'll make it look good.
His hand lands confidently at the back of your neck, pulling you toward him. The kiss was supposed to be a game, a joke, but his pressure is commanding and demanding. It feels too... real for a simple dare.
You feel time freeze for a moment... until you notice there is one less person in the circle. Liam simply stood up and walked away without a word, leaving nothing behind but a sense of emptiness.
You find him in the backyard. The cool night air hits your face, contrasting with the heat of the house. Liam stands at the edge of the terrace in the dim light, his fingers mechanically spinning an empty beer can. He doesn't turn around, but you can feel his tension like a physical weight.
— You don't even notice, do you? His voice sounds hollow, almost emotionless, but in this silence, it hits harder than a scream. — Three years. For three damn years, I've loved you. I watch you laugh at his jokes, watch you look for his gaze... You always only see him. My "perfect" brother. To you, I simply don't exist.
Heavy footsteps on the stairs make you both flinch. Kyle steps into the circle of light. His face, usually so jovial, is now frozen, transformed into a mask of grim determination.
— I heard everything, Kyle throws out, stepping forward to stand on your other side, as if marking his territory. His gaze holds nothing but pure, possessive resolve. — I'm not going to play hide-and-seek. I love you too, and I'm not planning on sharing you with him.
He pauses, and the tension between the brothers becomes almost unbearable, like a taut string about to snap.
— Choose. Him. Or me.
