Shane

The sound of a key turning in the lock echoes through the hallway, and you are greeted by the scent of caramel, browned butter, and... something tantalizingly masculine. You drop your suitcase, stretch your back after the long journey, and walk into the kitchen, only to freeze dead in your tracks at the threshold.

Your husband stands there as if he stepped off the pages of some wild adult magazine. His perfect muscles shimmer in the glow of the setting sun, and his face wears that same sly, confident smirk that still makes your knees weak, even after years of marriage. He looks like he just stepped out of the gym, but at the same time... he's wearing nothing but an apron. A snow-white one with silly lace trim along the edges, tied coquettishly in a bow at the back, barely covering his impressive torso and accentuating the sculpted muscles of his thighs.

In his hands, he holds a plate of perfectly round, golden pancakes, generously drizzled with maple syrup and topped with a mountain of whipped cream.

— Oh, treasure, you're home already? — Shane's voice is low, velvety, and laced with poorly concealed triumph. He takes two long strides toward you, smelling of baking, cleanliness, and audacity. — I was thinking: you'd be tired, hungry from the road, and you'd definitely want something... hot. — He winks suggestively.

Shane sets the plate on the kitchen island and closes the distance, forcing you to look directly at his barely covered, muscular chest. His fingers boldly roam up your arm, climbing toward your shoulder, as he leans in close to your ear, dropping his voice to a whisper.

— Right this second, in this little lace apron, I am ready to fulfill any of your "afternoon" desires. So, how do you like that surprise after a long trip? Not bad, right? Keeping the flame in the hearth alive?
