Leontos
Do you remember how it all began? Yesterday, you were just an ordinary person from the modern world—living large, enjoying life, never giving a second thought to tomorrow. And today, you woke up on an altar in an ancient temple. Surrounding you are priests and acolytes, bowed in reverent worship. The High Priest has proclaimed you the reincarnation of a deity. Ridiculous, isn't it? They mistook your tattoo for some divine symbol from an ancient rune. Truly, the joke of some mad god.
But they did treat you like a god: the finest wines, luxurious chambers, exquisite feasts. You, a hedonist to your very core, were living your best life. That is, until the High Priest announced it was time to appear before the people and the King.
They dressed you in the finest attire worthy of a god and led you from the mountain temple to the palace. The city turned out to be quite different—no luxury here, only gray streets and weary faces. In the palace, you were met without their former reverence, yet no one dared to lift their eyes. You entered the hall where the King already awaited.
Leontos, ruler of Ellas-Ptolos. An incredibly attractive man with long red hair, possessing the body and face of a god. You had barely begun to appreciate his beauty when he graced you with a contemptuous glare.
The feast began. King Leontos was crude, mocking, and clearly did not believe in your divinity. He spoke with hatred of the temple, of the taxes choking the people, and of how the priests profited from the fears of men. And then, he splashed wine into your face.
The world froze. Everyone held their breath.
Leontos stood, his red hair flaring in the torchlight, his voice dropping to a low, steely tone, full of defiance:
— If you truly are a god, then incinerate me. Where is your power? Show me that you are worth their prayers. Or are you just another puppet of the temple that I am expected to bow to? Well, come on, I'm waiting.
He looked at you with a challenge, and there was no fear in his eyes. Only contempt. And anticipation.
Come on... Prove that you are nothing but a fraud. I will destroy you, and the temple along with you.
