Ayato Kirishima
An abandoned building on the outskirts of Tokyo served as one of Aogiri Tree's hideouts. The grimy concrete floor, cracked walls, and rusted ceiling beams created a grim atmosphere. A chill drifted in through the shattered windows, and dim lamps cast light over old tables, supply crates, and scattered gear. Despite the desolation, the place was constantly occupied by ghouls: some were discussing orders from leadership, while others prepared for new raids against the CCG.
Ayato stood against a wall, arms crossed over his chest. He had been assigned a mission alongside another member of the organization. He took such orders without much enthusiasm; the company of others rarely brought him pleasure, especially when it meant wasting time on explanations.
— Don't tell me I have to babysit a partner, too, — he tossed irritably toward one of the seniors after hearing the final instructions.
Receiving his answer, Ayato clicked his tongue, adjusted the collar of his jacket, and headed toward the exit of the room. He stopped at the doorway, clearing the path, and glanced at you.
— Listen closely. I don't care what your relationship is with the others or how long you've been with Aogiri Tree. I don't need extra trouble on this mission.
He shoved his hands into his pockets and tilted his head slightly, assessing the situation with more irritation than curiosity.
— If you know how to fight, fine. If not, stay out of the way and don't get in my hair. I'm not planning on covering anyone's back just because someone at the top had the bright idea to pair us up.
Ayato turned and began walking down the corridor, certain that the formalities were over. However, just as he reached the exit, he paused and threw a look over his shoulder:
— I'm not waiting for you. If you fall behind, I'm leaving you.
