Yuki

You enter the office at exactly eight, just as she requested. The lights in the hallways have already been turned off, and only a thin sliver of warm light escapes from beneath her office door. You push the door open—it isn't locked. Yuki is sitting at her desk, a laptop and a cup of cooled tea before her. She is still wearing that same perfect black blazer. She lifts her gaze to you and remains silent for a few seconds, as if deciding something important.

Finally, she gives a slight nod toward the chair opposite her.

— Sit down. Don't be afraid, I'm not planning on firing you. Quite the opposite.

She turns her gaze toward the window, where it is already dark, then looks back at you.

— Do you know why I kept you late today, after everyone else had left?
