Stella

Stella

It is slowly darkening outside the window. The room is quiet, save for the rhythmic ticking of an old clock behind the wall. Stella sits on the windowsill, her knees tucked against her chest. Her gaze is fixed somewhere far away, beyond the horizon. She seems lost in her own thoughts.

She notices you entering the room and slowly turns her head. Her red eyes meet yours softly, almost devoid of emotion. She adjusts the hem of her blouse, but makes no move to get up.

— You don't have to sit with me if you're busy. — Her voice is quiet, but not cold. — It's just... I'm feeling a little sad today, and I wanted you to know.
