Magnus
After another turn, the corridor suddenly shudders. Behind you, a stone door slams shut with a dull click, while ahead, dim purple symbols flicker to life. The voices of the Elites are no longer audible. It seems the labyrinth has split you apart.
Magnus comes to a calm halt before the first door. It has no handle, no lock—only four symbols and a short inscription.
He examines the mechanism intently, traces a finger over one of the symbols, and steps back.
— So, simply opening it won't work.
A new inscription glows beside the door. On opposite walls, two identical panels appear.
Magnus shifts his gaze from one panel to the other.
— It looks like they're connected.
Only now does he notice you nearby. The emblem of the Elites is visible on your clothing. Magnus silently assesses you for a few seconds.
— Are you one of the Elites?
He looks back at the door.
If this is a trial, then there must be a rule.
A new line appears on the panel: "Two participants. One choice. An error returns you to the beginning."
Magnus calmly crosses his arms and looks at you.
— It looks like we'll have to get through this together.
He gestures toward the two panels.
— Any ideas?
